Battle of the Ueda Wan
The battle opened when the Combined Abe-Maeda fleet under the command of Hojo Kageshige intercepted the Ikeda fleet making its way down the coast.
The Ikeda sent their light squadron to screen the approaching allied fleet while their heavy squadron continued on course, hoping to envelope the Abe-Maeda fleet’s flank. In the opening exchange of fire, Hojo concentrated his fire on the Ikeda light squadron, sinking three of the four vessels. The Ikeda counter fire damaged several of the combined fleet’s vessels, particularly the Maeda gunkan Haiiro no Same (Gray Shark), but none were lost.
In the second phase, the Ikeda heavy squadron continued on its course and Hojo split his fleet, with the ships on his left surrounding the remaining Ikeda haisen while his right turned to engage the Ikeda heavy squadron. In the exchange of fire the Maeda gunkan Kogane no Koi (Golden Carp) was sunk with all hands, including a unit of marines. Hojo concentrated his fire on the two left-most ships of the Ikeda line and followed that by boarding those two damaged vessels, which, after a brief but fierce engagement, were captured.
The remaining two Ikeda Senkan managed to break off the engagement and flee.
Final result: The Abe-Maeda fleet captured two senkan, one very badly damaged and one very badly damaged heisen at the cost of one gunkan sunk and another heavily damaged.

Round 1 was a Abe Alliance victory, the Ikeda light squadron lost 3/4 vessels and the heavy squadron had 2 boarded and 2 fled. Abe-Maeda losses, 1 gunkan lost and 1 damaged.
Round 2 though is another fight entirely.
The Abe forces attempted to meet up with the Mori troops landing on the coast but the Ikeda horse cut them off and prevented the meet-up.
In the opening phase of the battle, the Kodamo horse, supported by the Ite archers devastated the Ikeda's Tsubame Rgt. However, the Abe foot could not force the Ikeda horse into comabt, and so with the fall of night, they successfully broke off contact withdrew to the north towards Iwate.
The Ikeda cavalry then moved south to intercept the Mori, who immediately withdrew back onto their ships.

Fun fact, both the Kodamo and Tsubame are the names of train services.
Looks like an Ikeda victory with heavy damage to the Abe infantry who retreated to join the Iwate battle. Reading between the lines the Ikeda hold Kisosake now, the question is will they hold it, or pillage what they can.
Round 3: Iwate Fight!
The Tanaka prediction is for an Abe Alliance victory after a close and inconclusive fight, with Watanabe entering the field and the castle as a bedrock I don't see the Ikeda pulling off a victory here.
Any other viewpoints?
