So the Watanabe have extended their invasion to Yura...
Which is right on the border with the Hashimoto...
And the Hashimoto are at war with the Watanabe (and the Abe and the Mori and the Maeda)...
Tune in next war move when we find out if the over-extended Watanabe will be hurled back? Or will they win against all odds yet again? Stay tuned to find out.
Seriously though, Yura is a ballsy move, puts you right in the border with the Hashimoto and Ishikawa who haven't gotten involved yet and has your only supply line running back through Tsubame with a hostile force on your flank. All the Ikeda need to do is make Tsubame contested (a unit or two that is trying to avoid battle would be enough) and suddenly the Yura army is out supply (and suffering morale checks every war move or taking fatigue damage).
Add to that the war is being fought in the middle of winter, Bob (DM) how harsh is the Zaidan-Tai winter? Is it bad enough to count as abnormal weather? (-2 to Morale checks for all units not especially resistant).
For reference the section on supply from the RoE rules is below.

Holy f.. there go the Oshiro. Lord Oshiro was slain in battle against the Takahashi. Their army defeated and castles occupied who now knows what will happen. Did the Oshiro heir survive?..

The news from this season so far shows the Ikeda has gathered a new host to take back Yura, the Watanabe have fallen back to Tsubame and later Noto. Leaving the Abe in Tsubame to fend for themselves. The Abe however have dug in and show no intention of leaving. With the Ikeda refusing to show at the Peace Summit (and the Abe offended at their original peace offer) this war seems not over in the near future. Also on the Oshiro wars, well done Maggie. Your Paramount Lord better watch out! It seems the balance in Zaidan-Tai is shifting, who knows how it will settle?

Well, the Hida talks turned out better than expected. The Battle of Matsusaka seems to have been the defining one for our war. Lords Kinoshita and Kikuchi have fallen, Endo Setsuke and Kono Satoshi were captured and Hida Nobuo honoured the old Tsubame allegiance to the Abe.
Lord Ikeda managed to fall back in good order thanks to the sacrifice of Kinoshita and Kikuchi. He is however now under siege in his capital.
