Just what the title says - a map of the setting. Just follow the link to my Skydrive to download the file (8.6 MB). Map of ZaidanExplanationsCastlesThe castle icons represent the capitals of the various realms. The number of towers in each icon denote the level of the capital: I (minor Lord), II (major Lord), or III (Paramount Lord) rather than the level of the castle. That information is available in the Holdings and Assets sheet. Torii GatesThe torii icons represent the headquarters of the shrine networks (known as Grand Shrines). Totally irrelevant über geeky stuffMost of the names are actual Japanese place names, with the exception of the regions, seas, bays, and some of the islands. - In the names of the regions, the suffix "-do" is usually translated as "circuit" or "route", but held the general meaning of a region and that is the sense in which I am using it. The names of the five regions translate as follows: Chuo-do=Central Region, Hokuto-do=Northeastern Region, Hokusei-do=Northwestern Region, Nanto-do=Southeastern Region, and Nansei-do=Southwestern Region. - The names of the seas surrounding Zaidan translate as follows: Hokkai=Northern Sea, Tokai=Eastern Sea, Nankai=Southern Sea, Nishikai=Western Sea, and Engokai=Sheltered Sea. - The word "Wan" translates as bay or gulf. - The suffixes "kawa" and "gawa" both mean river - The suffixes "jima" and "shima" both mean island and the word "retto" means archipelago.

Worked for me when I tried it just now. I'll put it up on the House Rules site a little later today.

Skydrive is a Microsoft product, so it could well be them screwing up - maybe they upgraded their software (shudder)
