OK, so what sorts of domain does everybody want to play? And does anybody have any particular preference for any given domain?

I'm happy to play anything, for me the key thing would be to have most of the positions in the play area occupied so that most interaction is PC to PC rather than PC to NPC.

I share Tristan's view. On a minor note, should there be a starting story line / plot which might be used as a fuse to kickstart interaction?

I'd suggest that players from the last game with the most activity be allowed to be the highest level positions. Untested or returning players with a more spotty background should have to take on minor clans. Just a thought. Inactivity kills games fast.

I want a landed regent, other than that I don't care

I need to read carefully through all the stuff before decide firmly what I would love to play. But seems it will be good, as the game is heavily oriented to team play, or at least it seems so. But source domain, anything sounds interesting.

I prefer a landed or comercial regent, just wouldn't like to play a religious leader.
As for the suggestion of Joe, no problem with that either, can play a minor regent subordinated to another (PC or NPC).

Well that's one of the reasons I wanted to know who wanted to play what, so I didn't make up a story line revolving around Temple matters if nobody wants to play a temple. It also helps me figure out what part of the map to use.

I would also like to know if Joe and Jae are one and the same, that would be useful so I can get the numbers right.

My suggestion would be to start with the idea that everyone is a landed regent and cram us into the smallest possible area, with plot walls explaining why we don't get out of the sandbox (i.e. it is dishonorable to intrude in the internal affairs of another region). Once you've filled the sandbox with landed regents add in the temples/merchants that are regional powers (fill one first) then add wizards at the very end.
Above all I want almost all of my interactions to be with other PC's and not NPC's.

Pretty happy playing anything though I would definitely concur with the desire of others to maximise PC interaction in an area. Happy enough to play a temple if nobody else is keen. Just need to flesh out the theology and who are the heretics who need to be burnt.

I am joe. I forgot to login for that post. Wizard. It'll be fun to do nothing and make no difference in anything until the Game ends.

As far as cramming people into a sandbox, that has been established. And I am getting the impression that most folks won't mind being a landed regent, so I will be making up a list of positions. I am leaning on it being the western end of the island
