The Grant: Barony action had no real practical purpose other than vague loyalty effects so I have updated it. The Barony itself is a Manor [0] (assuming the recipient doesn't already have a Manor holding in the province) and it gives you 1 extra Court action, but also has a 0.1 GB/DT "upkeep" cost (this represents the income going to the new Baron).
A failed barony continues to cost you, but you don't get the Court action.
The House Rules site has been updated to reflect this new rule.
