The Tanaka catch the defenders in the open... The Tanaka deployed in a single line with their knights in their center, their cavalry on the left and their escorts on the right. The Hashimoto deployed their foot on their left, on one side of a small stream, while their horse was deployed on the other side of the stream.
Turn 1 The Tanaka knights and escorts advanced on the Hashimoto horse. The Tanaka cavalry advanced to the north bank of the stream and engaged the Hashimoto foot with archery, inflicting heavy losses. The Hashimoto foot advanced to the south bank of the stream and returned fire, inflicting only minor damage. Meanwhile their horse charged the Tanaka scouts, destroying 2 companies, while losing 1 company of escorts.
Turn 2 The Tanaka scouts attempted to disengage while their knights attacked the Hashimoto cavalry, destroying 2 companies of escorts at the cost of one unit of knights. The Tanaka cavalry closed the range and continued to attack the enemy with archery, wiping out their archers, while again suffering only minor damage from the return fire.
Turn 3 The melee in the west continued, with with the cavalry being destroyed along with the commander Hashimoto Daisuke. The remaining escorts routed. The Tanaka cavalry closed the range further and engaged the remaining Hashimoto foot with archery, destroying the Yunaguni Infantry, leaving only the Watabe Clan Guard.
Turn 4 The Tanaka cavalry surrounded the Watabe Clan Guard who refused to surrender and were annihilated by massed archery fire.
