Hey no problem, the questions allow me to fill in blanks, and also to decide some things (like the ship crew stuff).
And yes, the wage war is more an administrative thing, it allows you to enter hostile territory, and also to take Military actions as free actions. Personally leading troops is sort of assumed in the action.

Cool, consider me in the field in Iwate then and my Marshal is establishing a field army in Kisosaki. {Wether he is there for the battle is up to you  } I must say, I'm getting a much more rounded ou idea of it all now. Do I have to define some kind of stance for the battle (Like the ROE rules make mesntion of) or do I leave that up to you. |

You can do either. If you state a general stance, then that is how it will be played, if you don't, then it will be played however whichever of us (between my roomie and I) thinks best.
As for your marshal, well I guess it, like all such questions of exactly when something happens will depend on some Warcraft rolls to see if he arrives before you are brought to battle.

There are no links in the respective Action lists leading to Establish Higher Echelon Unit. (I take it because I read in an old post you wanted to stop using them or something. Personally I like the idea  ) |

There is a link on the master list of actions. And yes they were removed because they used to have a bunch of other effects. I rewrote it and never got around to putting the links into the Court and Military action lists.
