Approximate Distances from Zaidan
Furishi: 75-80 miles
Tsoa: 300 miles
Kiiradei: 150 miles
Hutan: 275 miles

What is known about the settlement levels of the other continents?

Furishi & Hutan are heavily populated, particularly Hutan - think Chinese levels of settlement.

Asutoran is unknown to the Zaidanese except by word of mouth.

The lands to the south are a little less settled than Zaidan, but not by much.

The Nedeko Retto (which I am going to rename the Ryusu Islands - Ryusu means Dragon's Nest) are sparsely populated.

The remaining lands are less settled than the southern ones.

I guess that yo uwill not use them only as nice imaginary expansion space, and maybe some things may come from these lands...

Would there be some cultural and economic ties with Furishi for instance (I have in mind the cultural influence over Japan in he X-XIth centuries, if my memory is not too wrong)? Going farther could there be some ethnic / linguistic influences on the N-E part of Zaidan-Tai not present in the rest of the land?

I have some ideas for some of them,but have no intention of expanding play into those areas any time soon. At this point they are just to put Zaidan into a geographical context, and to provide places to trade with. They may play a role in an adventure or two along the way, and later on they may play a more active role, but for now they are mostly just fluff.

What about Tsoa?

I'm wondering about adding in a "overseas colony" as a minor agenda.

Like I said, a little less settled than the islands to the south that are a little less settled than Zaidan. In short if you are looking for a nice empty Thaele to just Create Province in - it ain't nearby. However, since there seems to be rather a lot of interest in them, I will have to do some plotting out of the details, eh?

So my create "overseas colony" minor agenda would be more like a conquer "overseas colony" minor agenda then.
